Open ended idea
One big idea to improve arts and design education in K-12 private schools in Dubai is to establish partnerships with local artists, designers, and cultural institutions to create an “Arts Apprenticeship Program.” This program would allow students to gain hands-on experience and mentorship directly from professionals in Dubai’s thriving art, design, and cultural scene. Through this program, students could work on real-world projects, attend workshops in studios, visit galleries, and participate in collaborative art installations. The goal would be to make the arts curriculum more experiential and connected to the local creative economy. Additionally, the program could align with themes of Dubai’s culture and history, helping students appreciate the local context while gaining practical skills that could shape their futures in arts and design fields. Not only would this provide valuable exposure and mentorship, but it would also help cultivate a strong sense of community engagement and creativity among students, preparing them for potential careers or lifelong appreciation of the arts.
