Open ended idea:
To provide a minimum of 1 hour tuition per year group for Music and Art from Year 1 upwards. To provide Drama lessons from Year 4 upwards for 1 hour tuition per week. To provide a minimum of 30 minutes music tuition for FS1 and FS2 per week. Weekly lessons in these subjects is key, rather than carousel as this ensures progression, understanding and the aquisition of improved language skills and confidence in every pupil. The scientific evidence for improved academic performance across the board when these subjects are included with high quality teaching is highly evident and exhaustive. I hope that this understanding of the cross curricular skills can be recognized and implemented within our schools curriculums here in Dubai to ensure outstanding education for every child.
