Making Art & design integration a means of showcasing learning will create the need for such an integration and ensure student and parent buy-in rather than making it mandatory- which is often met with resistance as it is perceived as taking time away from core subjects. Also- one must be flexible and offer choices to students in selecting their mode of art and respect their cultural preferences.
